José Alfaro, a first-generation Salvadoran-American, has made history as the first Latino to head a national gun violence prevention organization, Community Justice. His leadership has broken barriers and brought a unique perspective to the forefront.

VICE PRESIDENT OF POLICY

Adzi Vokhiwa is the Vice President of Policy at Community Justice, where she leads the planning and execution of federal and state policy and advocacy campaigns, as well as public awareness initiatives to mobilize stakeholders.

DIRECTOR OF FINANCE & OPERATIONS

La-Donia Alford-Jefferies is a nationally respected nonprofit and strategic operations leader with a  track record of driving operational excellence, financial stewardship, and  organizational growth. As the Director of Finance and Operations at Community Justice,  she leads a comprehensive portfolio overseeing multimillion-dollar budgets, systems design, compliance, risk management, culture strategy, and cross-functional team  development. 

DIRECTOR OF FUNDRAISING & STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIPS

Tremayne Edwards leads as the Director of Fundraising and Strategic Partnerships at Community Justice, where he builds the organization’s development strategy and cultivates values-aligned partnerships to resource community-centered solutions to violence. His work is grounded in the belief that fundraising must be relational, not transactional — and that transformational movements are built on trust, shared vision, and deep accountability to the people most impacted.

DEPUTY DIRECTOR OF LEGISLATIVE ADVOCACY

Tarria is a mission-driven policy and advocacy strategist with over eight years of experience driving legislative change, developing policy strategies, building coalitions, and mobilizing grassroots support.  At Community Justice, she serves as the Deputy Director of Legislative Advocacy, where she leads multi-state efforts to advance policy solutions that prevent gun violence and invest in community-based public safety.

NATIONAL ORGANIZING MANAGER

Christina Delgado serves as the National Organizing Manager at Community Justice, where she brings a significant depth of personal experience and a robust commitment to advocacy. Her involvement in gun violence prevention efforts began following the tragedy at Santa Fe High School, the first school shooting in Texas.

SOCIAL MEDIA & DIGITAL MANAGER

Maiyah Alexander is a digital communications strategist and passionate advocate for equity and justice in Black and Brown communities. Based in Richmond, VA, she currently serves as the Social Media and Digital Manager at Community Justice, where she leads the organization’s digital strategy, brand presence, and audience engagement efforts to end gun violence.

EXECUTIVE RELATIONS MANAGER

With a strong foundation in computer software and digital marketing sales — working with industry leaders like GoDaddy and Google — Brianna brings a strategic and dynamic approach to her role as Executive Relations Manager at Community Justice. A proud Prince George’s County native, she returned home in 2023 to dedicate her talents to the fight against gun violence, channeling her expertise into mission-driven leadership.
