Tarria is a mission-driven policy and advocacy strategist with over eight years of experience driving legislative change, developing policy strategies, building coalitions, and mobilizing grassroots support. At Community Justice, she serves as the Deputy Director of Legislative Advocacy, where she leads multi-state efforts to advance policy solutions that prevent gun violence and invest in community-based public safety. She brings both professional expertise and lived experience to her work.

Tarria holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Toledo and currently serves as Co-chair of the Marylanders to Prevent Gun Violence Coalition. She brings a trauma-informed, justice-centered approach to advocacy and believes in the transformative power of communities to lead lasting change.
