La-Donia Alford-Jefferies

Director of Finance and Operations 

La-Donia Alford-Jefferies is a nationally respected nonprofit and strategic operations leader with a track record of driving operational excellence, financial stewardship, and  organizational growth. As the Director of Finance and Operations at Community Justice,  she leads a comprehensive portfolio overseeing multimillion-dollar budgets, systems design, compliance, risk management, culture strategy, and cross-functional team  development. 

With over 15 years of experience at the intersection of nonprofit leadership, public policy,  and movement-building, La-Donia is known for transforming complex operational  challenges into sustainable solutions. Her expertise spans government relations, financial  planning, vendor negotiations, staff development, and organizational infrastructure — ensuring her teams are positioned for both mission alignment and operational success. 

Beyond her senior leadership, La-Donia serves on the boards of several regional and  national organizations committed to racial equity, education, and social justice. She is also a CrossFit athlete, participating in local competitions, and a published children’s book  author whose work celebrates the legacy and culture of Historically Black Colleges and  Universities (HBCUs). Her passion for wellness, education, and community-building fuels  her purpose-driven approach to leadership and service.
