In 2008, La-Donia began her advocacy career by volunteering as a grassroots canvasser for President Barack Obama’s first presidential campaign. She was later hired as a Field Organizer in 2012 for President Barack Obama’s second presidential campaign and increased voter turnout by 105% in four precincts while additionally managing voter turnout on two college campuses. Since then, La-Donia has worked with the Virginia State House as a Digital Strategist, Communication Coordinator, Political Field Coordinator, and Event’s Director. As a Political Director in Ohio, La-Donia worked as a campaign strategist and organized communities across the state. As a former Chief of Staff, La-Donia worked to advocate for thousands of women across the country. In her spare time, La-Donia loves attending book readings to read her two self-published children’s book, Homecoming and The HBCU ABCs. La-Donia loves spending time with her family and competing in CrossFit competitions.
